Based on the amount of spam signups on https://pixelfed.social, I wouldn't be surprised if spam accounts correlate to other platforms recent user influx as well.

I'm not saying all growth is spam, but they are significant enough on my instance to be noticable.

Luckily, 90% of spam accounts on Pixelfed are caught and hidden before any user sees them thanks to our Autospam system. #spam #fediverse
