What about where to find a list of the hashtags I am following?

@feditips I've seen several people asking about viewing a list of all the tags being followed. Is that possible yet?

@feditips Unless I'm mistaken, it's not possible yet to view all the hashtags you've followed in one interface so that you could say...unfollow several unwanted hashtags at once.

So be choosey when adding them. Otherwise you'll probably overwhelm your timeline.

API endpoints for better managing these hashtag follows have appeared recently, so it hopefully won't be long until the UI frontends catch up.

quick question - do you know how #hashtags following works in relation to filters?
if I a post has both a hashtag I follow and a word I filter out - will it show in my home timeline?

@feditips Thanks for this feature, I need some newbie help. I'm on mastodon.social, and I searched on #Trump and the results are limited to the last 2 days and there is no hashtag at all for #Trump. Am I doing something wrong.

@feditips following #hashtags is such a powerful feature that I hope it is moved to an obvious location, such as settings, and given more prominence. Otherwise, it will be very easy to overlook.

@feditips @Tusky now how do I search a specific hashtag without being offered all embellishments except the hashtag itself?

For example, search #football will bring up #FootballHistory , #FootballWorldCupTickets , etc. I usually have to scroll all the way down to find plain #football.. or worse, selecting those other hashtag in hope to find the plain one next to it.

@feditips it may be worth noting to the dev team that a majority of users coming over from Twitter will rarely log onto a desktop site, if ever. They’re all used to the mobile apps having a richer experience, not the other way around.

@feditips If i may ask, is following a hashtag only limited to what you would otherwise see in the Federated timeline? Or could, for example, a self hosted server with minimal to almost no federation benefit from this to see #linux tags from servers who are not connected to the private one? If that makes sense? Still trying to make sense of all this.
