The biggest annoyance I have with watchOS 10 is that there appears to no longer be a way to force a podcast to play from the watch to your AirPods unless you turn your iPhone off (disabling Bluetooth, WiFi, and cellular will quite suspiciously continue streaming from the phone in iOS 17)

It's like nobody else uses the watch to go on runs, leaving their phone behind

@searls this was one of the promises of the watch; or so I thought. I still bring my phone because I can’t trust the watch to just work. Also, compression shorts with pockets, to go under my running shorts, are awesome. That’s where I put my phone.

@searls I sort of had to do this anyway to keep the AirPods from flipping to other source devices (iPhone and iPad). It’s annoying to have to turn off Bluetooth on them so the AirPods will stay connected to the watch. This happen often when I’m working outside, listening to a podcast on Overcast, and my audio suddenly stops because the AirPods decided to connect to something in the house.
