@tenderlove File transfer and system stuff makes sense. I’ve read about using git as root for all of /etc to keep track of what configs change when. I would feel ok pushing that somewhere if it was local and self managed.

@tenderlove what do you use it for? I know there are criticism of GitHub, but I’ve never found it didn’t meet my needs.

@tenderlove I'm sure it's because the charset is different.
I have French installed. It just won't detect and switch.
It was insane before because it would tell you the name of the accents. It wouldn't pronounce « école » as « ay-cole » it said « e-accute-cole » REALLY FAST.

@tenderlove Better than a coupe updates ago where it would just read any language like it is your default language. « Received a message that is not in English » is an UPGRADE.

@tenderlove I mean, it’s an improvement. Before the last OS update it would just read all the texts I get in French like they were in English. Absolute garbled nonsense, including saying “e grave” for è in the middle of words.

@searls @jerod @thefreehunter I mean, it’s a game and it’s probably not for everyone. But I came into it scared of the crafting and I mostly just ignore it. It’s a magical game, for me anyway, despite some weird design decisions.
