Mastodon lets you set up custom timeline filters which automatically CW or completely hide posts with a specific word or phrase.

To add a filter:

1. Log in through your server’s website
2. Go to ⚙️ Preferences > Filters (On the mobile website click ⚙️ then ☰ then Filters
3. Click Add new filter button
4. Choose the settings you want, then click Save New Filter

There are nuances to using the filters, and I've done a list of tips about them at:

@feditips these are client-agnostic, right? Just like server-based email rules?

@feditips These don't work in the Mastodon Android app -- I still see posts that should be filtered. They're filtered fine through the webapp.

@feditips #Mastodon filters are really great once you get them set up. I haven't seen a Wordle post in a long time!

@feditips ooh, I knew I could hide them completely, but didn’t know I could hide them behind a CW. That is cool!

@feditips
Is there any way to put absurdly long toots behind a “more” button?
I think the web interface does this, but my preferred third-party client does not.

@feditips the filter also needs to work on domains you don’t want in your feed
