This is the conclusion of a process that began in 2013, when Croatia joined the European Union.

Although you’ll have to wait until January 2023 to get your hands on the new coins, you can already check out their design in the video below!

Very happy that it's finally happening @EU_Commission. Not sure how I feel about Tesla though. I could debate for both teams.
According to the 🇭🇷 PM they "wanted the coins to be symbols of Croatia's history and political identity, our sovereignty and state borders, monetary tradition and fauna, the language of culture and literature, cultural and scientific greats, creativity and innovation, and tradition and modernity".
