wowww, I just got my first follower from the Vivaldi browser's new server. They just announced *today* that users of the Vivaldi browser can embed the vivaldi.net server into the browser as a widget, or connect it to other Mastodon servers (I think, if I'm reading it right)

vivaldi.com/blog/vivaldi-5-6-o

(vivaldi is an experimental web browser)

@darius Iā€™m not a fan of the kitchen sink approach for my personal use -at terns but I do kind of enjoy seeing Vivaldi continue to carry the torch dropped by Netscape Communicator.

@darius yeah! I'd been trying to migrate from dot-social so today I did it (and migrated to vivaldi, thinking it might help them federate!) :D

@darius I don't think I'd call it "experimental" - it's been around for about 6 years now (ex Opera people) and keeps on turning up on Android a lot too ...

@darius Correction, other... "Fediverse" servers šŸ‘

With more #Fediverse centric features and benefits coming soon šŸ™‚

Also just posted was an announcement about support for the You.com search engine as an integrated option to choose as a default in #Vivaldi.

@darius FWIW I use Vivaldi as my main browser these days, largely because it has built-in RSS support. This is the first I've heard about it having built-in Mastodon support.
