Russia must be held accountable in court for the brutal destruction it is causing.

On the European Day for Victims Against Crime, we reaffirm our support for investigating Russia’s war crimes in Ukraine.

Together with the International Criminal Court, Ukraine and EU countries, the EU is collecting evidence and we support setting up an international centre to coordinate the investigations.

Justice must be done.

@EU_Commission

the war could have been avoided...

"Mr. #Scholz[..]told Mr. #Zelensky in #Munich on Feb. 19 that #Ukraine should #renounce its #NATO #aspirations and declare #neutrality[..]Mr. Zelensky said Mr. #Putin couldn’t be trusted to uphold such an #agreement and that most Ukrainians wanted to join NATO."

@EU_Commission
Then Putin must be arrested -- the sooner, the better.

Strike the head of the snake first for a change, rather than the tail.

@EU_Commission Like the US was held accountable for the aggressive war in Iraq? This seems more like Victor’s Justice or better said “A la Carte Justice.”

@EU_Commission very interesting number of pseudo-leftist Russian trolls who never had any idea UN Security Council exists. Now they go deny genocides in Bosnia and Kosovo maybe? And say Assad didn't gas rebels with sarin (and chlorine!)

@EU_Commission Maybe we should all tread very carefully. If Russia begins to lose the war badly they could nuke Ukraine. If NATO responded since Ukraine is non NATO then it's an open WW3 as opposed to the current WW3 by proxy. If Russia takes over Ukraine then we have the problem faced in 1939 when we appeased Germany and that didn't end well. I don't see a good outcome at all to this conflict. I see a full global nuclear war as a near certainty.

@EU_Commission Not surprising there are some pro-Russia trolls on your thread here. Even Mastodon has some of them. Thank you for supporting Ukraine and committing to investigating the war crimes Russia has committed in Ukraine.

@EU_Commission How come #Assad has never been brought to justice for use of chemical weapons?

@EU_Commission The Putin-regime unleashed wars of aggression far too often, without being seriously sanctioned & held accountable over the 23 years of his barbarian dicktatorial rulership over the Russian people.
Without seriously hurting his personal revenues from stolen fossil fuels resources owned by the people of the Russian federation, so Putin was able to inflate his personal riches to more than $200 billion.
So in some sense, the Russian people were & still are victims of Putin's & his regime's crimes, looted, misinformed, disinformed & sent to die in Ukraine for the supreme mob boss in the Kremlin.

P.S.: Putin's $200 billion need to pay for reparations to rebuild, what he had devastated.

@EU_Commission Will you investigate the crimes on Syria, Libya, etc by the US, UK, EU and Russia? Or you don’t care because they aren’t white christians? Not to mention Israel crimes.
