If you're finding Mastodon's interface is too dark or too light, you can change its colour scheme to someting that suits your eyes better.

On the website:
1. Click ⚙️ Preferences
2. From the "Site Theme" menu choose Dark, Light or High Contrast
3. Click "Save Changes" at the top right

On the official app:
1. Click the ⚙️ icon to go to settings
2. Choose Dark, Light or Automatic (which uses whatever your phone uses)

On third party apps:
Go to the settings section of your app.

@feditips Is there a way to get Mastodon to open at the exact spot you left off? Invariably, I open much farther up in the feed and have to scroll back down. I also get the dreaded’Load missing posts’ message with the same results if I click it.

@feditips
I've tried both Dark and High Contrast, and they look the same to me. I actually wish the background was pure black instead of this off-black it has now.

Also, who thought this colour-scheme for a scroll-bar was a good idea?!

Screenshot of poor contrast scroll bar - bar and background almost same colour

@feditips Using the #opensource Stylus you can theme Mastodon any way you see fit. Ditto for every other website.
