The @mastodonusercount bot reports inaccurate counts btw

It counts instances (and users) that have been shutdown for years, and does not properly handle spam or fake instance stat counts

I should make a more accurate bot using https://fedidb.org data (which removes instances + counts which have been down for longer than 2 weeks)
