@65dBnoise all the large rocks in that image have the same kind of striations.. I wonder if that's wind wearing or old tectonic sign, or sedimentary layers?

Sedimentary in this case, with lots of other rocks around (not in this image) apparently igneous. Possibly a very troubled past with nice moments, like a lake forming there for some time.
