That's exactly why I'm calling it audacity 😀. I wouldn't dare present this joke to a narrow group of friends, but he has the audacity to make a grand presentation to the world as if it were something worthy of viewing. That requires believers blinded by a cult, not free thinking people.

I posted some links about InMoov, an opensource project that started about a decade ago, a couple of days ago. The technical level of the shinny Optimus appears to be even lower than that.

As far as ASIMO goes, its final robot is so far ahead of Tesla’s Optimus robot, which puzzled me as to why Elon unveiled his robot to the world.

My theory: Elon Musk wants to replace many of his workers with inexpensive robots who can work 24/7 without bathroom breaks, vacations or pay raises.
