That might be. There's much philosophy on the subject.

The only think I can observe about myself is that I slowly went from ignorant to informed, and what helped was that there was always opportunity to make slight steps to improvement.

If these steps didn't exist I wouldn't have discovered the place where I'm now at.

Github is full of folks who are candidates to do similar travels, and we can reach out a hand to help them, rather than say they are already lost.

They don't really care about putting in any effort to understand things, let alone putting in effort to become better people. Perhaps I'm just bitter at having seen this landscape for a while, and having interacted with it a bit more. I think Github is doing the opposite of what you want right now.
