@stu it was never fixed weeks after I posted this so I just uninstalled the app... I don't know if the platform is openly iOS first and Android is just an afterthought or if it's a byproduct of the dev only having an iPhone at hand but it's a really awful app on Android... Really sad, because I really really want a viable Instagram alternative that I can recommend to friends
