With regard to money: Well, I/we have no figures. Yet, there has been no administration of the server (had to be bought on a case by case basis), there have been fees for old, imported figures (I have no info about more current infringements), and of course people were using ad blockers, because the site for all its flickering ads, was hardly readable at times.

Basically, apart from rumours, no hard data.

@rupdecat @FrankSonntag Should I read between the lines better? All I am reading is that management was not happy with how much money the site was making and did not invest in a site that was not making them money.

To operate FediScience sustainably we wil have to create something like a association, like Christian would need to ScienceBlogs 2.0. That could be combined.
