@VictorVenema @adamdavidson How many industries land here one day and by the end of the day are claiming an exemption from the norms when it is entirely unnecessary?

My feeling has been that journalists will realize they get more engagement and good will by being good citizens. But seeing some of the logic tossed around in this thread, I'm starting to doubt it.

@daphne A good idea. You follow journalists that use CW for innocent news to reward them for being good citizens.

And I follow journalists that do not use CW gratuitously. Just like all newspapers I have followed for years did not have CWs.

We made a distributed system because people and cultures are different.

I also follow people who do not put a CW on media posts with eye contact; for others this is important.
