I’m not sure I've said it out loud, but I'm extremely pleased with how the book has turned out, I think it fills the goals of:

* Bringing the existing information up-to-date with syntax, library, ecosystem, and community standards
* Being a good intro for developers new to Ruby
* Still having depth for intermediate/advanced Ruby developers (I learned a ton…)

It's been so much fun to work on.

I know that 650+ page programming books sometimes feel like relics from a distant past, but sometimes a big book can provide context in a way that nothing else can.

I really hope I've been able to make that work for all the existing Ruby developers out there and all the new Ruby developers coming to join us…
