I understand why so many people are focusing on how weird (in a bad way) some politicians are, but I really don’t like how it’s now turned into an implication of “weird = bad”.

I love lots of weird stuff. Maybe I’m sensitive to it because I was teased for being “weird” in school – when bands like DEVO, who fully leaned into weirdness, were my role models – but people who use “weird” as an insult have historically been the kind of people I don’t want to associate with.
