@davew yeah. I'm not a company, and I always knew my Twitter projects were living on borrowed time, but by 2017 it was pretty clear things were going to go this way at some point so that was when I started my research into open protocols like ActivityPub in earnest. The hope was to get in early and help make the ecosystem better... and I did it 😎

i wonder if you're deliberately not understanding the difference between twitter clients and apps.

they shut down the clients.

the api remains unchanged, and works. as i said i'll let you know when it changes.

i see a lot of gloating like this, and honestly it's bs, and it's rude. you may have your reasons for not liking twitter, but you're hurting the apps that exist and continue working on twitter.

that's the bs i'm talking about.
