It is a poorly kept secret that you can get "featured" in the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and ProductHunt if you pay them (a lot of) money.

(5-figure and 6-figure amounts, depends on where you want to get featured.)

You (often) just have to know the right employee or former employee to talk to to make it happen — as it (understandablely) isn't publicly advertised.
