This is an old painting from about 3 years ago that I don't think I've ever posted on here (it was definitely posted on my now deleted dA account).

Anyway, as with all my own stuff, I like some aspects of this and hate others.

One of the things I now most dislike about this painting is how photographic it looks... which is odd given that I originally started drawing/painting specifically to see if I could draw/paint photo-realistically🤷‍♂️

It turns out that you could paint photo-realistically. What I like best is that the sketchy humans are moving like people. Not a stiff among them.

When viewed at the small size shown in your post - definitely looks photographic.

After clicking on it - and it becomes large... obviously painted as I can see brushstrokes and what appeared as rails are more dark paint strokes.

I think viewed at either size - it is very good work that my poor painting efforts could move toward.

@GrumpyMark it’s amazing! I thought it was a photo, loved zooming in to see the strokes. Very curious how you made the blur effect if you don’t mind to share.
