What one should know when using WriteFreely in the Mastodon part of the Fediverse: They interact only partially.

If you try to answer a #WriteFreely post, your answer will be received by the WriteFreely instance and than dumped into the bitbucket. The author of the post will never see it. And you will never receive any notice your reply got nowhere.

At least that was the case last time we checked. I'd be happy to stand corrected.

@feditips @writefreely I really hope we can develop a culture of people using the appropriate platform for different sorts of content. Twitter "threads" have no place on Mastodon when you can use WriteFreely or Plume or microblog.pub. One image in a Mastodon post makes sense, but if you're posting an album or photo stream it belongs on Pixelfed. etc. #fediverse #federation
