@NervousGamedev Facebook is notorious for changing things with deprecation periods that are very hard to work with, or not communicating deprecation well. Twitter in 2018 changed the way their entire streaming API worked, published docs saying "the new API will provide similar functionality", and then there was a ~1 year gap between old and new API.
