hey this could be cool as heck. i love streaming but i feel shitty feeding the bezoid. anyone have any suggestions about how to get started? (will it work with OBS?) the site itself is a lil intimidating

@feditips @owncast @rstv I feel like we need something like this that doesn't require everyone to host their own servers. It makes the barrier for entry way higher than Twitch streaming. Like a cross between this and PeerTube.

I spun up a jail on my TrueNAS system, installed Owncast inside it, and it pretty much worked out of the box -- which is darned impressive.

Now I need to figure out how to enable VAAPI support inside a FreeBSD jail...
