If you want a music, podcast and audio platform for the Fediverse, you might want to check out Funkwhale:

➡️ funkwhale.audio

You can follow their official account at:

➡️ @funkwhale

Channels on Funkwhale can be followed from Mastodon, anyone can start their own server.

Given the situation with , perhaps Funkwhale might be a basis for an alternative?

(I'm not a musician so I don't know how good a fit it is for artists and bands, but hope it is useful or could be developed?)

@feditips@mstdn.social @funkwhale@social.funkwhale.audio I think Funkwhale is more oriented towards users that want a place to store their library and listen online. You can also use it to host podcasts, and they do mention that artists can publish music but its more like a promotional/marketing tool. There's no ability to sell the music.
