You can filter any Mastodon account's public posts by hashtag using the following website address:

(mastodon profile's web address)/tagged/(hashtag without the #)

So, for example, to see all my public posts with the hashtag "Mastodon" the address would be:

mstdn.social/@feditips/tagged/

:rss: As many have pointed out in comments, you can also add .rss to the end of the address to create an RSS feed.

@feditips Wow, and I see you can add a ".rss" to pull the feed on it. So cool.

@feditips
Adding ".rss" at the end of the url also works for RSS feed readers.

mstdn.social/@feditips/tagged/

Is there a way to combine tags (either boolean 'or' or 'and')?

(I tried 'tag,tag', 'tag+tag' & 'tag/tag' so far, no luck.)

@feditips so every mastodon profile is basically an rss feed. interesting. 👍

In the 1990s I worked on computers running the UNIX OS back when we searched for text using "grep". The Mastodon hashtag search is very reminiscent. Wish we had a 2020s social platform employing tools that remember personal preferences and anticipate personal needs. I'm not a sw designer anymore, but I bet there are smart people out there who could do it.

@feditips And can I follow that stream on Mastodon proper? Don't want to resort to my RSS Reader for that. Also, don't think an RSS feed would work for protected toots?

@feditips Really nice! I already use the RSS feed feature on this account 😁 Really great content! Thanks for all the tips!

@feditips Is there anything like this for /public/local? Or am I overlooking something in the interface that already does such a thing?
