there are also other neuroscientists here and I am like omg maybe we can make the thing some ppl wanted to do of public dissemination of science to nonscientists/other disciplines actually real by having instances ppl can go to ask about stuff instead of just being in a big seemingly public but actually very insular ball on borbzone

Here in Germany, when I meet strangers and I have to say I am a climate scientist, one of the first questions is, even here, whether it is real. Not many doubt it here, so they always ask nicely, but they love hearing it first hand.

This makes me ponder, they could have send an email or contacted us on Twitter, but apparently no one did. Maybe the above is just small talk or we need some sort of signal.
