What if some neurodiversity is really neuroevolution to adapt to handling multiple inputs and to manage new concepts?

What if some genderfluidity is actually genderevolution to allow individuals to function at a higher level than would be possible using an ancient binary system?

And what if by repressing and trying to "fix" certain people, we're actively working against the advancement of our own species?

Boss, you all know that the Hollywood Writer’s strike has us all concerned about the future of the Marvel Universe… but you also know deep down this isn’t quite the right time for a they/them Hulk movie…so why not put that gamma ray evolutionizer gun back in the lab- and we go get some nice decaf coffee?

@drmaddkap yeah, that's pretty much the fundamental argument with conservatism.

Conservativism is the view that perfection is achieved through refinement toward an ideal, eliminating flaws.

Realism is, any defined goal has flaws. Perfect ideals are unknowable or nonexistent. Diversity improves your chances of improving the future in both ways you know and ways you don't.

@drmaddkap there’s actually some academic papers that suggest the first.

I’m inclined to somewhat agree because it does arguably suit a lot of people to the lives we have now as opposed to other points in history

And I say somewhat because as someone with autism/adhd I have skin in the game so personal feelings etc

@drmaddkap i’ve had more than a few friends point that out, especially how certain aspects of autism are adaptive to modern societal and cultural pressures. It’s kinda neat to think.
