I'm pretty sure it doesn't make a whole lot of difference for me where you buy it as long as you buy it. It might be marginally better to use not-Amazon, but only marginally.

For the “being a huge book about Ruby", I'm pretty sure the best thing to do is give it a good rating/review on Amazon or to a much lesser extent, Goodreads.
