@searls I highly suspect that this is just a missing feature. The fact that Apple hasn’t come out and made a statement makes me believe that an upcoming version will fix it, and maybe even add PWA support to other engines. Because that’s also a thing: if you have existing home screen PWAs, and a l different default browser, what should it open in?

Maybe I’m a bit too charitable, but this is only beta 3 of a big release.

@searls imo, Western democracies have an ingrained and business-friendly culture of making laws more and more explicit. I think they can afford to legislate intent and outcomes a bit more and stop trying to predict the mechanics of non compliance.
