Dear Europe,
I hope this year brings peace and progress. I know some of the family have been kicking off a bit but I guess that's to be expected for some recent family members as they learn to cooperate with other family members.
Most of us in the UK are missing our European brothers and sisters but we need to serve some time out in the cold so we can learn the lessons of listening to liars, boosters and fantasists.
While we're away from the family, enjoying our Brexit benefits, can I just ask that you try to rein in those far right sociopaths. When we do return, we're likely to be pretty progressive. It would be horrible to discover you'd banned books, gone all 'anti-woke' and found a defenceless group of people to blame for everything.
As soon as I find one, I promise to send you details of a true Brexit benefit.
