Some remarkable statements. One being thinking not be among 99.999999998% that go typical VC route.

Another interesting bit "we, as a company, don't actually own the whole thing". Now #penpot is #copyleft MPL-2.0 but, but is that in itself enough if they took their hands off and veered to proprietary direction? Can a fork thrive?

The VC cash will dampen enthusiasm in #FOSS world, which in itself makes typical VC future more likely.
