Stories and Videos are not new to Pixelfed, but they are new to the app.

While I believe they bring value to :pixelfed:, I understand these features aren't for everyone.

The official will allow you to hide Stories and Videos, allowing you to keep your feed clean and focused 😉

@dansup I'm not opposed to videos, but never liked having two different ways to navigate content. And frankly, it's just a reminder of that time a huge social media corporation sacrificed their apps' usability to squash a small competitor. I love what you are doing with Pixelfed, though! This is just MHO.

I'm not a big fan of stories, because many people just use them to advertise new posts. I'd rather have videos with a purge date (though I personally don't need the purge date).

But IMHO videos are essential.

Because I need cat videos.

Everone needs cat videos!
