Any technical details about your apparatus you are willing to disclose? I've done some work in the past on an equatorial mount, just a fun project of mine, but stopped short of actually fitting it with a telescope.

Urged to make something earlier, I ended up watching Comet Neowise with a pair of cheap binoculars and had, well, some results 🥴 (light polluted sky):

I'm hoping to start with wide field photos of the Milky Way. Then various nebulae that are easily targeted.

Through an acquaintance of a friend, I was able to score an excellent deal on a SkyGuider Pro tracker mount with the iPolar alignment gizmo.

Good news/bad news about the iPolar: it is apparently quite accurate, but I have to run *shudder* Windows for the app. I haven't touched a Windows machine for many years and it was a pain setting that up! 😦
