Have you ever been reading over an email you're going to send, when the part of your brain that controls your hand goes, "ENOUGH, WE'RE SENDING IT NOW!" and clicks?

Frequently. I even know which of my headmates is responsible for it when it happens 😆

@drmaddkap I have my email client send emails every 5 minutes, instead of instantly. It’s a game-changer for me, as unsending is simple and something I use frequently

@drmaddkap This is literally how I’ve successfully curbed my social anxiety and made it through these last few years of college. That split second of a moment where I can manually remove my anxiety, and in a blind blankness hit send or submit, has made sending emails and submitting assignments SO much easier. Cause, like, once it’s done it’s done. There’s no going back. What can I do? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Oh well. Guess it’s time to move on and relax now.

@drmaddkap I used to have a wonderful secretary who would type my letters and sometimes say “I think perhaps we should leave this one until tomorrow before sending it” -the additional, wise, external filter was very useful….

That's usually what happens for most decisions I have to make.
