Ok put my Twitter account on ice for good. Going to leave it open but let everything get auto-deleted. I guess I want to be able to watch the dumpster fire up close 🔥 🍿

@Janetgunter Deleting is a heavy step, parts of my brain is on there, mainly threads by others that i keep re-reading or want access to would be harder to reach. Plus as you said, the dumpster fire could be fun to watch.

@Janetgunter I deleted mine when I joined mastodon, forgetting that it would also be deleting my developer API keys. I had a few moments of panic, and then realized that I had moved all my apps that had used it off years ago. 😆

@Janetgunter yeah ever since that big hack a few years ago I've been downloading my twitter archive monthly and deleting tweets that are over a year old, but I think my task for 1st Nov will be a complete erasure
