@signalapp It's a shame that you can't create an account without a phone number.

@signalapp I have just had to try it... I had to find my MSISDN. No idea why it needs that and why the IMSI or the IMEI wouldn't suffice. Otherwise I can say that it seems to work well considering it's a mobile app.

@signalapp Adding contacts with only a phone number is a blocker for people who are not allowed to share their phone number. So please hurry up with the number-free contacts exchange option! (QR code with a uuid perhaps?).

It's still really hard to justify this when I lost nearly all the people I talked to on signal after you dropped SMS support. I know there are tons of people that don't get it but the biggest sell to "normal Americans" was that they could have a single app that did both.... As soon as they had to use 2 apps (one for signal and one for SMS/RCS) they left Signal. As you said - a messenger only matters if you have people using them.

@signalapp i think it would be helpful if android tablet app (desktop) would be available. tablet is much better for video calls than phone. it could help to attract more users.
