A pro tip, in case this ever comes up in your life:

If you are asking people to write their name on slips of paper for a raffle, don't use post-it note paper….

(The solution was to crumple each slip into a tiny ball, which both prevented them from sticking together and made them all roughly the same size no matter how they were folded)

This was the raffle for attendees of the @pragprog Q&A session at #RubyConf.

I took the slips, crumpled them into balls, placed them in my official Pragmatic Bookshelf tote bag, which seemed like the appropriate thing to hold the entries, and drew three of them.

Winners will be notified this week.
