@dansup I would ban any large corpo. If Coca Cola had an account on mastosocial, I'd ban it.

These companies destroyed everything, there's no reason to let them pull the ladder once again.

I will also ban any instance that doesn't ban Meta.

@dansup Yes. Meta has a long track record of hostility towards interoperability, at both technical (blocking/banning users using unofficial clients, locking down APIs) and legal level (C&Ds).
No reason not to believe they won't do the same with the ActivityHub ecosystem.

@dansup @octopusproject Wouldn’t it and shouldn’t it depend on what comes from the Facebook instance? I mean, even if Twitter started an instance, wouldn’t and shouldn’t you wait and see what comes from it first?
The concept of premeditated censorship is just about as fascist as fascist gets.

That said, I’d likely pre-unfederate the nazis.rus instance if it came along. 😂

@dansup After seeing the final poll results, I myself chose ‘undecided’.

Keep in mind sadly, most of my family is on Meta (in this case being Facebook), and in no way I would be getting them to jump off of there.

So if they do it right, I myself don’t mind it.
