This week Toulouse, the "pink city", was the scene of a prestigious ceremony at which President Ursula von der Leyen received the title of "Doctor honoris causa" from the Toulouse Capitole University.

Acknowledging the importance of climate change, the President also congratulated Toulouse, a city at the forefront of the Green Pact for Europe, for its major investments in clean technologies.

This honorary title symbolises the fruitful cooperation between European cities and the European Union.
