I'm just that man who thinks that #introductions are cheesy and serve to shred any modesty left to the person with bunch of #SelfPromotion #hashtags. But hey, maybe it will change, and I'll do a proper #introduction of mine some day.

Good mention about #languages filtering at #Mastodon. I saw some people posting with wrong #language - and they wondered where is all support.

Equally nice catch on the lack of #QuoteReplies and #QuoteBoost. It can and will be abused. Separate links make up for user's switch of context.

However, I don't have a feeling that half of other advices will help gain followers. It's just a happy coincidence that people discover my posts, but I don't think it would be quite easy without tags or leaving my replies on trending topics. :robotok:

It was never about follows for ego's sake- it was to get heard and share information and support for democracy. I went full out on Twitter as you need at least 5000 to connect and have a voice. Left Twitterstan as soon as Musk came but lingered for Georgia's primary but again left the minute False Idol was reinstated. I am here for 2024 and the constant fight against fascism. But the art, photography, science, and animal rescues are a great plus for sanity.

I'm a poor person, so my donations don't amount to much. But I really appreciate this platform & I'm wondering if there might be some way to create & monetize some features like view counts.
If I wrote a masterpiece toot, I'd be willing to pay $1 for a month of the ability to promote my special toot to a broader audience & have advanced editing features ( I'd like bold or italic fonts) & some other perk. The ppl who made the ap & run the platform can share the proceeds.

Hey sweet... these lists are kind of like web-rings. Like you used to see on old websites.

It's the same basic idea. A themed collection of websites. Although the sites on a web-ring would also link to each other and the list itself.

Of course, there's no reason you couldn't do the same thing with mastodon users, like this.
