What could make you save on energy bills while helping the planet?

We've adopted new rules to reduce energy waste from electrical appliances in standby mode.

By implementing these rules, you can expect to save €530 million a year by 2030. And the environmental impact is huge - almost equivalent to Malta's annual consumption!

Plus, these rules make it easier for you to access information on electricity consumption.

The best part? They come into effect in 20 days!

@EU_Commission I don't miss standing on Type G plugs (they hurt), but the one thing I do miss from my homeland is that we can switch power outlets off at the wall... can't we mandate that too?

@EU_Commission
How about not flying across the continent for a 2 hour meeting?

How about not sucking Petro and Auto dick?

But no! Blame it on us and remind us turn off our own lights.

Blow it out your ass.

Stadt für alle statt für Autos.

@EU_Commission
What costs in energy and money are associated with this regulation?

Are they included in the figures mentioned?

I'm still hurting from the really stupid "don't turn on car lights automatically" thing a few years back.

@EU_Commission so about 1 euro per person? Doesn't sound enough of a saving for even more regulation.
