@Gargron my hopes are that it doesn't become another corporate take over.

Mastodon and XMPP are not controlled by corporations and I pray to the gods that the 2 platforms are stepping it up to keep *them* from taking over.

At one time, back when the internet was a true system not controlled by corporate, a Jabber server could connect to all platforms (gtalk, yahoo, aol, Facebook messenger, Twitter) Now?!?!

Stop it before it happens, I beg you all.
