@sturmsucht It's been experimental/beta forever. And unfortunately the stability has declined a lot. I really have a lot of doubts about whether they'll ever be able to make the switch to as the "main" app to replace the "old" Element. Progress is just much too slow to ever reach feature parity with old Element any time soon.

@preya I'm confident they will make it. There was a lot of background development done in the last months switching to Element R as the common Rust Crypt library and getting a solid funding. They also paused some of their project to refocus on the important stuff. I can also highly recommend their blog: matrix.org/blog
