If there are particular accounts where you really don't want to miss their latest posts, you can tell Mastodon to notify you when a new post is published.

1. Log in through your server's website
2. Go to the profile page of the account you want to be notified about
3. Click on the ๐Ÿ”” bell icon next to the follow/unfollow button

This only works for people you follow. To stop notifications, click the bell icon again.

The posts will appear in Home as normal, but there will be a notification too.
