Considering it was in a library, it probably gave a ton of poor people access to this service, just like cheap public library computers and printers today. If you didn't have money for a typewriter, half an hour for so cheap at public library sounds great!

@UkeBLCatboy @markarayner It could have been available without a coin-op box. The tech was about a century old at the time Bradbury would have been using it, and $10 seems like a lot (at that time) for typing up a novel. Charging for the consumables--like typewriter ribbon--seems reasonable, but not the time.
