27.6 million people are in forced labour. We want to make a real difference in tackling this form of modern-day slavery.

Following the commitment made by President @vonderleyen@twitter.com in her 2021 speech, we've proposed to ban products made with forced labour from our 🇪🇺 market.

@EU_Commission Are you sure about these figures?
In the Netherlands alone we have about 10 million working people. My guess is about 80% of them are forced against their will into the work they are currently doing.

It's time for an Unconditional Basic Income !

@EU_Commission This is great, but I think it will die because people won't want to give up their cheap way of life, even if it's funded by #childLabor or #forcedLabor

Good attempt though. At least this is being considered

love to hear it! First step in my humble opinion would be compiling a list of manufacturers like VW using subcontractors in Xinjiang region.
