President von der Leyen met Egyptian President El-Sisi in Cairo to discuss the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

She was there to hand over EU aid to the Egyptian Red Crescent. All made possible by a great cooperation with the Egyptian authorities and
the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).

Team Europe is the largest aid donor to the Palestinian people.

Egypt is ensuring humanitarian access to and from Gaza via Rafah, providing a lifeline to Gaza.
