@dansup @pixelfed I can understand how that feels. On the other hand there is a clear message that is positive and motivating:

- people like pixelfeed
- people want to use pixelfeed

I understood the user as someone who wants to use pixelfeed without having too invest a lot of time into maintaining an instance. Which is understandable. I love to tinker with IT. Yet for important stuff (e.g. mail) I am very conservative and still use dovecot and postfix. I use them because they are low maintenance and high stability.

If I would have a lot of pics that would hold the same value for me, then I would also choose a „stable“ system for „production“ use.

Long story short: I would read that message not as a complaint but as a message telling me that people *want it for the things that are important to them*.
