LGBTQIA+ people aren't bystanders on the Fediverse, they're creators. This place exists because of work by sexual and gender minorities in building it. Lots of the projects and servers you see on here were founded and are led by LGBTQIA+ people.

All of the Fediverse servers listed on fedi.garden and joinmastodon.org/servers are required to actively moderate against prejudice, specifically including homophobia and transphobia.

Yeah, the problem is most of them are hypocrites about it. The rules only apply to straight cis men. Queer people can be as bigoted and offensive as they want.

@feditips I read that some baseball(?) player wanted a "Christian Values Day", which seemed to be code phrase for a phobia. Supposedly the Romans had one, but in that case, they probably said, "Leones esuriunt" Seriously though, when I was working at Sun, we had an ethnically diverse group interviewing people. I suggested that we email reviews directly to our manager so we wouldn't influence each other. A side effect was that any biases on anyone's part would stand out.
